Former Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is now looking at two more felony charges in addition to the previous charges of driving under the influence resulting in death and reckless driving.
Prosecutors now have decided to add felony counts of DUI and reckless driving after his girlfriend Kiara Je’nai Kilgo-Washington suffered injuries as well. A misdemeanor charge of possession of a firearm while under the influence was also added.
Investigators revealed that Ruggs was driving 156 mph at the time of the crash, and he blew a .161, more than twice the legal limit.
Ruggs slammed into the back of Tina Tintor’s Toyota Rav4, causing the SUV to immediately catch fire, killing her and her dog.
He posted the $150,000 bail and now sits at home on house arrest. He is reportedly wearing an ankle monitor, w2as forced to surrender his passport and was ordered not to drive or drink alcohol.
Video of the scene was recently released, and as you might expect, it’s pretty horrifying to watch.
