I’ll go ahead and say it, the Manning brothers cast for Monday Night Football has been the best thing since sliced bread.
Peyton and Eli bring some life to Monday nights, some incredible inside the huddle analysis, and not to mention, they bring on some solid guests too (especially when you got Marshawn Lynch dropping F-bombs on live TV… you can’t beat it).
However, as awesome as this idea has been, there may be some form of curse brewing with an invitation to join the show…
Every guest on the show who currently plays in the NFL, has lost their game the following week.
Now, I’m not a superstitious guy, but they might be onto something here.
The proof is in the pudding…
Travis Kelce was the first guest on week one, his team lost week two.
Russell Wilson also came on the show week one, also lost week two.
Rob Gronkowski made an appearance week two, lost week three.
Matt Stafford made his appearance week three, lost week four.
And most recently? Tom Brady made an appearance last week, and lost this past Sunday to the Saints.
Now it could definitely be a coincidence, but there is definitely a pattern here.
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen was on last night, and since they have Urban Meyer and the 1-6 Jacksonville Jaguars next week, I’m thinking that matchup will be the ultimate test.
Ain’t no way in HELL the Bills should drop a game to the Jags… unless… Manning Curse.
