Morgan Wallen And Ernest Play “Flower Shops” Together At Bristol Show Saturday Night

Morgan wallen country music

I’m gonna need Morgan and Ernest to go ahead and release this song.

They teamed up to sing “Flower Shops” at the Country Thunder festival in their home state of Tennessee last night, and it really reminds me of the classic country heartbreak songs we all know and love so much that are harder and harder to come by on country radio these days.

Morgan headlined the festival, with other performers opening for him including friends Granger Smith, Jon Langston, Larry Fleet.

Morgan has played the song once alone about a month ago, and it was written by his frequent co-writer Ernest along with Ben Burgess and Mark Holman, who have also written quite a few songs for Morgan over the years.

Ernest has also played it solo a few times, but this is the first time we’ve seen them perform it as a duo. Morgan did confirm they were planning to sing it together when he played it by himself before, so I have to imagine we’ll be seeing it on some sort of project in the future.

It’s just too damn good with the acoustic, stripped-back production here. I’m just praying they keep it that way with the studio version…

Inspired by George Jones’ 1970 classic “A Good Year For The Roses”, I think y’all are actually gonna love this one:

“FLOWER SHOPS. W @morganwallen”

Here’s Ernest singing it and talking a little bit about the inspiration behind the song:
