Founded in 1953, by the late Hugh Hefner, Playboy Magazine has been a pop culture staple for nearly 70 years.

And while they recently switched to an online-only model, legendary ladies like Marilyn Monroe, Pamela Anderson, Bo Derek, and Kate Moss have been featured on the cover. And of course… the great Dolly Parton.

Dolly graced the cover in 1978, and even mentioned that she would like to do it again for her 75th birthday.

“I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again.

See I did Playboy magazine years ago and I thought it’d be such a hoot if they’ll go for it, I don’t know if they will… if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75… Boobs are still the same.”

And while that moment came and went, there’s still the possibility that Dolly may do it again someday in the future.

However, with today being Halloween, Lauren Alaina took the opportunity to homage to one of her musical heroes with a Dolly Parton Playboy cover Halloween costume.

And she NAILED it.

“Somebunny had to do it. Happy DOLLYween, y’all!”

“When I Dolly Parton I don’t play, boy. I NINE to THRIVE.”

Dolly herself recently recreated the cover for her husband Carl Dean’s birthday.

“It’s my husband Carl’s birthday, and you’re probably wonderin’ why I’m dressed like this, well it’s for my husband’s birthday. Remember sometime back I said I was gonna pose on Playboy magazine when I was 75?

Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy, so I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy.

He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years, and I’m not gonna try to talk him outta that. And I hope he agrees, what do you think?”
