Seriously, what the hell are you doing?
According to the New York Post, police are investigating a collision between a cyclist and a spectator that occurred at the finish line of the Cicloturista Condaca Salmor Bike Race.
For some reason, the idiot fan decided to go over the barrier and stroll right out onto the track as a cyclist was barreling down towards the finish line.
The crash couldn’t be avoided…
The cyclist was taken to the hospital, suffering from a head injury and memory loss. It’s not known if the unidentified woman was hospitalized, but she was treated at the scene.
A statement was released regarding the incident:
“An injured cyclist in El Hierro has been taken to hospital following a collision with another person.
The information we received was that the cyclist had run over another person during a sporting event. The cyclist appeared from a first evaluation to be suffering from non-serious head injuries.
The woman who had been knocked over was treated at the scene by medical services covering the event. A police investigation into the incident is underway.”
Jesus Christ lady… get off the damn road.
I mean, I’ve seen some crashes in my day, but this lady ate it HARD. Head off the pavement… it looked bad. The rider also took a beating too but at least he had a helmet on.
Of course, this isn’t the first cyclist/fan crash of the year.
If you remember back to the Tour de France this past summer, a woman’s sign clipped a cyclist causing a MASSIVE pile up of riders. Dozens and dozens of cyclists were injured.
