Eric Church, Ashley McBryde & More Set To Perform At The 55th Annual CMA Awards

Mickey Guyton, Eric Church, Blake Shelton country music

It’s late October, and it’s that time of year again.

The CMA Awards are slated for November 10th, and they’ve officially announced their first round performers.

Now I’ll admit, I haven’t really even listened to country music radio in about four years, when I was driving around an old beat up red pickup truck with no aux chord, and was forced to listen to Dan & Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, and Kane Brown 24/7.

It was either that or sit in the truck in silence. It was hell…

However, we do have some studs like Eric Church and Ashley McBryde performing, helping mainstream country music save face. And I’m sure more performers will be announced at a later date.

The first round of performers includes Jimmie Allen, Brothers Osborne, Eric Church, Dan & Shay, Mickey Guyton featuring Brittney Spencer and Madeline Edwards, Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, and Blake Shelton.

The show will also be hosted by Luke Bryan, who appears to be loving life as an American Idol judge now.

I guess we’ll sit back and see what kind of gimmicks the CMAs will pull out of their ass to get ratings up this year, as the awards ceremony saw an all time low in TV ratings last year.

And as always, we’ll be live-tweeting the entire show so make sure to follow along.
