Aaron Watson Will Melt Your Face Off With His Incredible Cover Of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”

I am absolutely dumbfounded right now.

We already knew that Aaron Watson knows how to connect with fans through his songwriting. From boot stompers, to slow paced waltzes, the man can get it done.

But did you know he can turn right around and melt your damn face off with an insane cover of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck?”

And he sounds just like their lead singer too. It’s incredible.

First off, I’ve lived my whole life thinking that there’s only one guy who can sing like the lead singer from AC/DC, and it’s Brian Johnson – who’s ACTUALLY the lead singer of AC/DC. His high pitched, raspy voice is simply one in a million.

It turns out Aaron Watson can give Johnson a run for his money though.

A month ago, Watson was playing a concert in Helotes, Texas, when his band began to play “Thunderstruck.” (Gotta admit, even hearing the song gives me PTSD from that damn drinking game).

But sure enough, Watson killed it.

And perhaps the most impressive part? He turns right back around and sings “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas” like he didn’t just perfect one of the hardest songs to sing on this planet.

Incredible.

Show me somebody with that kind of versatility and I’ll show you one damn fine country artist.

Watson also joined the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast here recently, and gave us some awesome details about his new album in the works.
