It was nasty… but at the same time, I’d argue that it’s good for the sport.
Needless to say, the golf world was dying for a one v one match between the two, but it looked bleak for a while, especially after Bryson said he refused to play with Brooks in a tournament this summer.
However, it appears that the two have made amends, especially after they were seen speaking to each other at the Ryder Cup this year (It may not seem like much, but this was a BIG step).
And now, we’re finally getting the match.
For some odd reason, the match is only 12 holes at Wynn Golf Club in Vegas, and is slated for Thanksgiving weekend on November 26th.
I’m kinda bummed, mainly because I was really hoping to see this match happen while the two hated each other’s guts.
That would’ve been high quality television.
I guess I can’t complain too much since it’s finally happening. And hey, there’s still hope… maybe Brooks gets mad at Bryson for simply breathing again, and we’ll have an intense match on our hands.
It’s not too likely though, especially after Brooks tweeted:
