Alan Jackson Releases Moving “Where Have You Gone” Video From The Ryman Auditorium

Alan Jackson does not miss.

Today, he put out a new video from the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, with a live performance of his song “Where Have You Gone”.

The title track to his album that was released earlier this year, it’s a love letter to the (real) country music we all know and love, especially in a time when that’s really hard to come by in the mainstream world.

Of course, Alan has not been shy about his disdain for a lot of the music on the radio these days, recently saying that he feels like we’re getting away from what made country music so great in the first place.

This song is his way of expressing that in the way he does it best.. through song:

“The song kind of starts out like it’s a lost love. I love what I call ‘real country music,’ and I just see it fading away more than I ever have. I just wanted to say that.”

There’s just somethin’ special about Alan singin’ about the tradition of country music at the Mother Church of the genre where so many legends have stood before him.
