What. A. SCENE.
Chairs flying, tables flying, pint glasses flying, there’s damn bicycles and potted-plants flying…. this is absolute anarchy in the streets.
And after a few seconds, it’s pretty easy to figure out what’s going on here… a soccer brawl.
After a bit of digging, I was able to gather the fight took place in Groningen, Netherlands, and the fight was between German (Arminia Bielefeld) and Dutch (Groningen) soccer fans… you know, some real Green Street Hooligans kind of shit.
But according to a local bar owner, the German fans (who were banned from attending the game) were just quietly having a few pints with the lads at a local pub before flipping the switch.
They put in mouth guards (expert level move) and covered their faces before attacking the local fans.
And of course, all this is happening just as bars and pubs around Europe are starting to recover from the devastating closures of the COVID-19 pandemic. Imagine finally opening the doors and then this shit happens?
And apparently, there were no arrests and no injuries… not even one. Like, how?
And you thought those folks fighting in Waffle House were nuts?
They ain’t got nothin’ on these soccer lads…
