Caned By Nod is HERE.
The new metal project by country music star Cody Jinks, officially makes its debut today with the release of “Middle Finger.”
While it’s the lead single from Caned By Nod’s upcoming debut album None The Wiser, it’s not Cody’s first venture into metal music.
As many Cody Jinks fans already know, he actually got his start in metal before transitioning into the country space. But that doesn’t mean recording a country album and a metal album at the same time was easy.
“It was very different recording them at the same time.
Literally, it was being in one studio and walking next door and going from this beautiful country song that we’re doing to just this really angry metal song, flipping a switch.
The actual art of writing was the only thing I really had to focus on to keep myself sane…the song comes first. If I’m not writing a great song, then I’m dead in the water.
I really, really focused on being a better wordsmith.”
Both the country and metal projects were produced and engineered by Edward Spear and recorded simultaneously at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas.
None The Wiser, as well as huis country album Mercy, are both set to drop on November 12th.
Cody also revealed the tracklist for the upcoming album.
