And needless to say, I’ve been blasting the EP on repeat ever since.
We got some early singles from Cooper with songs like “Boy From Anderson County,” and “Excuses,” so we were able to get an early taste of what we could expect from the project, and it amplified the hype ten times over.
Everybody’s been talking about “Good For You,” a summertime jam about a short-term fling that ended with the girl leaving for bigger and better things, and although the guy is happy for her, he still misses the hell out of her.
“Good For You” is a heater no doubt, but there’s one song that’s criminally underrated on the EP:
“Way To Go.”
The song is a slow burner about a dude who messed up a relationship, and now all he can do is sit back and think about the bullshit he put her through.
We’ve all felt that way in one way or another, had moments where realized we needed to change… and it’s no secret that Cooper doesn’t miss when it comes to writing music that relates to his fans.
