I need this new CoJo double-album like I need air.
Okay, maybe not that bad, but all of these songs he’s released over the past few months has got me fired up.
Every single song has been an absolute heater, and with him only releasing half of the songs from the dual album project, there’s so much more to look forward to.
As we continue to anticipate more new music from the Texas country star, he’s been sure to keep us fed with new songs, live performance videos, and now, even stripped down material. He released a badass new acoustic version of one of his first singles off of the new album, “Longer Than She Did.”
Not only does Johnson sound incredible live, it’s his full band that pulls it all together. You can’t hide anything when you strip it down like this and collectively, this group is just lightyears ahead of most of the other acts in the mainstream country music scene right now.
From the fiddle, to the steel, CoJo’s vocals… it just doesn’t get much better than this.
My hot take of the day? This could be the best acoustic release of 2021 thus far.
