Is there anything Midland can’t do?

Hot off the release of their latest EP, The Last Resort, Midland has announced that they’re jumping back into the podcast game.

The guys will be hosting an Amazon Original Podcast called Set It Straight: Myths and Legends, where they will be interviewing some of country music’s biggest stars and separating fact from fiction when it comes to the mysteries and tall tales of the genre’s long history.

Said frontman Mark Wystrach about the podcast:

“Set It Straight: Myths and Legends is a chance for us to dive into the fascinating folklore and fables in and around country music and gives us an excuse to hang and informally chat with some of our biggest musical and artistic heroes.”

Midland first launched their podcast, Set It Straight With Midland, on Spotify back in 2019, but they took a break amid the craziness of 2020 and are now back exclusively on Amazon streaming services. (But no worries, the first 10 episodes are still available on Spotify).

The first episode of the new podcast drops August 25, and will feature Garth Brooks, who joins the podcast to discuss his legendary 23-hour autograph session at Fan Fair in 1996 (back before it became CMA Fest).

Other guests for this season will include Martina McBride, Darius Rucker, Wynonna Judd, and more.

It’s kind of ironic that Midland, perhaps the most enigmatic band of today, will be hosting a shows that reveals the truth behind the mysteries of country music.

But that just adds to their mystique even more, right?

The boys are current on their Last Resort Tour, so catch them live if you can and stream their latest single, “Sunrise Tells The Story.

It’s a jam.
