There ain’t nothing better than some good ol’ ballpark food.
Granted, you have to forget the fact that you’re paying $13 for some curly fries, and washing it down with an equally priced light beer, but if you look past the ridiculous prices, you can’t beat it.
Now, Mr. Flavortown himself has unveiled the epitome of American ballpark food:
The Apple Pie Hot Dog.
Yep, you read that correctly… Apple Pie Hot Dog.
According to The Takeout, Guy Fieri was inspired to create the exotic food after seeing an old Chevrolet ad from 1975, which displays baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet.
Tell me that ain’t the most American thing you’ve heard all day?
This new culinary invention is literally a hot dog weenie wrapped up in an apple pie… a bold strategy, but it just may work.
And what better place to unveil the new food than this Thursday’s “MLB at Field of Dreams” baseball game between the White Sox and Yankees, where they’ll be playing in Dyersville, Iowa, the location of Kevin Costner’s hit movie, Field of Dreams.
I mean, apple pie? Good. Hot dog? Good. What’s not to love?
