Crowd Sings Every Word Of Riley Green’s “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” And Moments Like These Are The Reason I Love Live Music

Live music has been back in full swing for a couple months now, and thank the Lord for it.

We’ve already seen some great stuff from our favorite artists during shows, like Miranda Lambert breaking down at Billy Bob’s Texas and Riley Green pulling a little fan up on stage to sing with him and I couldn’t be happier about it.

There’s nothing in the world like live music and the connection between artists and fans.

This time, Riley performed “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” at the country concert festival in Fort Loramie, Ohio, earlier this weekend and it’s pretty damn incredible.

We’ve posted his live music video for the song before that was recorded in a bar, and it’s amazing, but this… this is on another level. You can hear the massive crowd roaring as they sing the song for him.

Not only is it a great song, it’s incredibly personal to Riley as it’s a tribute to both of his grandpas, who are both listed as co-writers on the track.

Clearly, it resonates with people from all over and all different walks of life which is what makes music so magical, and that’s what I love so much about this video in particular. It’s a testament to the power of live music and human connection.

He posted the video on Instagram with the caption:

“Ohio knows what’s up.”

Chills.

And, if you haven’t already, you’re gonna want to make sure you check out some of his newest music from his Behind The Bar project that was just released last week.
