Not all heroes wear capes.

Do you ever wonder what happens to your DoorDash delivery sometimes?

Maybe it’s just me, but there’s been a couple of times when I tried to use DoorDash, and after I placed the order and everything, my food simply just…doesn’t show up. It disappears out of the blue, and I have to get a refund.

After reading this story though, I’ll give those faulty DoorDash drivers the benefit of the doubt. They could’ve gotten locked up, ya know?

According to ABC 12, Tyler Williams, a police officer in Jonesboro, Arkansas arrested a DoorDash driver for driving with a suspended license while he was en route to make a delivery.

Of course, police officers are sworn to “protect & serve,” and Williams took “serve” to a whole new level.

Out of the pure goodness of his heart, he completed the delivery, ensuring the customer’s food got there safe and sound.

The exchange was fully documented on Williams’ police body camera, when you can hear him tell the customers:

“Your DoorDash driver got arrested, so I brought your food to you.”

How about that, way to serve the community officer Williams.

DoorDash also provided a statement about the driver who got arrested:

“The safety of our community is extremely important and we take reports of this nature very seriously. We have deactivated the Dasher involved and are in touch with law enforcement to support their investigation in any way we can.”
