When Cody Johnson plays a show, there’s something that’s 100% guaranteed…

He’s gonna give it all he’s got.

However, it appears that he’s gonna have to put his tour on pause for a little while, as he was just told by doctors that he needs to go on vocal rest for the next three weeks.

We received a little scare when we were notified that he couldn’t play at Windy City Smokeout in Chicago this summer due to some health concerns, but it’s great to know that it’s simply because his voice needs a break and not something more dire.

He let us know that there is no long-term damage, so it’s almost 100% positive that he’ll be back in full force once three weeks is up.

“Coming off of the road after an incredible weekend to some not so exciting news.

Unfortunately, my ENT Dr. of over 8 years has put me on vocal rest for the next three weeks. God willing, this will be an isolated incident, and as of right now, there is no concern about long-term damage.

However, I would appreciate y’all keeping me in your prayers for a safe and speedy recovery.

I can’t wait to get back out there doing what I love. Thank you for understanding during this difficult time.”

So for all of y’all who are waiting on the edge of your seats to watch CoJo perform, just know you’re gonna be in for something special once he hits the road again.
