Good God lady…
According to CNN, some moron holing a sign caused a MASSIVE pile up at the Tour de France yesterday. It seemed like she was trying to get her big, stupid sign on TV, but accidentally stepped onto the course.
The sign hit German cyclist Tony Martin who immediately hit the ground causing dozens of riders behind him to do the same. Bikes, bodies… it was a total mess.
And now, she’s on the run from French authorities after fleeing the scene before they could arrive. A investigation has been launched.
Tour deputy director Pierre-Yves Thouault says they plan to sue her:
“We are suing this woman who behaved so badly. We are doing this so that the tiny minority of people who do this do not spoil the show for everyone.”
Lieutenant-colonel Joel Scherer of the French Gendarmerie also added that they intend to charge the suspect when she’s found for “unintentional short-term injury through a manifestly deliberate breach of a duty of safety or care.”
Obviously this is an accident, but what are you doing lady? Get the hell off the road. Now you have French authorities looking to drop some charges on your ass.
The crash resulted in multiple injuries and even forced some riders to leave the race.
Oh, and the sign? It said “allez opi-omi” which translates to “Go grandpa and grandma.”
Hope grandpa and grandma are proud… idiot.
