Colter Wall Shares Phenomenal Rendition Of The Western Love Ballad, “Evangelina”

Colter Wall Country Music

The perfect western love ballad doesn’t exi…

Oh wait, yes it does… and we just got a performance of it from the Canadian cowboy, Colter Wall.

He just released a cover of “Evangelina,” a tune originally written by Kenneth Higginbotham and Hoyt Axton that was released in 1976 on Hoyt’s Fearless record.

It tells the story of a man whose burning passion for his lover is so strong, he’s willing to make a trek across the desert in order to reunite with her once again. And Wall’s deep, gritty voice really brings this song to life.

Nothing but a man and his guitar, exactly how it should be.
