VIDEO: Mouse Raiding Meat Cabinet At New York City Whole Foods Will Ruin Your Entire Week

A display of meats and shrimp

Turns out Australia isn’t the only one grappling with mouse induced agricultural conflict.

Although, this little mouse in Manhattan, New York, was after the beef, not the crops.

A video taken by a shopper in the New York City Whole Foods location last week showed a tiny little rodent with an apparent appetite for big slabs of meat.

According to WRKN, shopper Brittany Ellis heard the commotion and ran over to see the mouse, she posted the video on TikTok which now has nearly 4 million views.

“That was disgusting… this was truly a traumatic viewing of a rodent eating away and possibly passing on more diseases during a global pandemic.”

NOPE…

Whole Foods Issues A Statement

According to PIX11, Whole Foods is aware of the situation and offered a statement regarding the disgusting incident:

“We take this situation very seriously.

We immediately removed and disposed of all products in the case, performed a deep cleaning, and brought in a third party service for a thorough inspection.

The store diligently followed our detailed protocol in response and continues to work closely with our food safety team.”

I’d like to think they threw all the food in the garbage and disinfected the entire store.

Better yet, maybe just burn the whole place to the ground and start over.
