Luke Combs Teases Studio Version Of “Growin’ Up & Gettin’ Old” And That New Album Is COMING

Get excited, y’all.

Luke Combs is in the studio and recording new music.

That part isn’t really news, as he’s been teasing lots of new stuff over the past few months and even announced that he was already working on it in early March.

And, while I’ve been (impatiently) playing the waiting game for some hint as to when we’d finally get a set date for the new album, back towards the end of March, he assured us all that it would be worth the wait:

So, it should come as no surprise that it’s a work in progress at the moment.

He hit us with a few samples thus far, including the songs “See Me Now”, “We Still Drink Beer”, and “Joe”, specifically, which he debuted at the Grand Ole Opry just last month.

The exciting part here is that earlier, he took to Instagram to post a video of him recording “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” straight from the studio with the caption,

“Here we go…”

He wrote this track with Channing Wilson and Rob Snyder, and already gave us a sample of it back in February.

LC3 Is Coming Soon

But it looks like that record release might be right around the corner.

Whether that post means this exact song could be the first single, or he simply wanted to get everyone primed for more news in regards to an official announcement, remains to be seen.

Either way, it’s enough to get me fired UP after what feels like an eternity of waiting for something… LC3 might be closer than we thought.

Selfishly, I just hope it’s out before he heads up to Boone and blows the non-existent roof off the stadium this summer, because I already know I’m gonna need to hear one of his signature beer-drinking songs with an ice cold one in my hand.

It’s what he does best, and I’m here for it.

Here’s the acoustic sample of “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” he put out a few months back:
