When you get to a certain level of fame, it’s easy for a lot of celebrities to forget their roots.

However, Alan Jackson doesn’t quite fit that mold, always remembering where he’s from in Newnan, Georgia.

And now, he’s ready to give back to his hometown once again, as he’s headlining a benefit concert to support relief efforts after an EF-4 tornado swept through Newnan on March 26th.

The concert, titled Where I Come From: Tornado Benefit Featuring Alan Jackson, will take place on June 26th at Newnan’s Coweta County Fairgrounds.

On top of that, the man has a solid lineup behind him.

Chris Young and Caylee Hammack will be taking the stage, as well as Adam Wright and Brian Wright, both Newnan natives.

“After the tornadoes came through Newnan I knew that I wanted to do what I could to help my hometown.

I started working on an idea to do some kind of benefit in Nashville to help those affected in Newnan, but then heard from a group of leaders in Newnan.

I’m glad we came up with a way to bring this show to my hometown… and I’m happy to be helping the people who need it most.”

Gotta love it.
