The ‘Marfa Tapes’ Trio Takes Over Late Night TV On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

The Marfa Tapes trio is back on TV, this time with a late night appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Miranda Lambert, Jon Randall and Jack Ingram performed their song “In His Arms” from their collaborative album, following another recent daytime TV appearance on Ellen.

Though the trio has done quite a bit of press in the lead up to the album’s release, this is the first late night performance they’ve done thus far since the album officially came out.

It appears as though it was filmed in the same studio where they’ve been doing other hits and bits for their social channels for promotion, where they recently answered one of my favorite questions they’ve been posed with about the project so far:

“If you could pair a meal or a drink with this album, what would you pair it with?”

And Miranda had a quick response on exactly what it would be, to the nodding and agreement of Jack and Jon:

“Chicken fried steak and tequila… maybe some enchiladas.”

She’s my kind of girl.
