Target To Stop Selling Sports & Pokémon Cards After Parking Lot Brawl Results In Gun Getting Pulled

In case you’ve been living under a rock, trading cards are back in a big way.

MLB, NFL, NBA and even Pokémon cards have grown in popularity over the past yea, becoming a hot commodity as people try to flip them for a profit.

With this new trend, there’s been some… issues to say the least, as well unfortunately. Since they are in such high demand, people are hoarding them, stealing them, and even worse… fighting over them.

That’s why Target has elected to stop selling these cards for the time being.

This is on the heels of there being a brawl at a Target that lead to four arrests.

According to Fox 6 Now, they were all outside of the Brookfield, Wisconsin, Target fighting, one of them armed with a gun, over getting the last trading cards that Target had.

Listen, I’m not anti-hustle. Everyone needs a side gig where they can make a little bit of cash but if you’re at the point where you’re bringing a weapon and fighting to get cards, you’re not a collector… you’re a lunatic

There’s a right way and a wrong way of going about things and now, it’s ruined for everybody.

If I knew people were willing to put their lives on the line for cards I would’ve kept my Pokémon cards from 20 years ago… shame on me for not seeing that one coming.
