I can’t get enough of Randall King country-fying all these pop and hip-hop songs on TikTok.
He recently did one of Notorious B.I.G.’s “Big Poppa” that was awesome, and now, he’s doing a country version of pop singer Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be.”
I know some of my ladies will relate to this, because the first thing I thought of when I saw this video was the scene in A Cinderella Story when Hillary Duff and Chad Michael Murray dance to this song at the Halloween party. The nostalgia is real, and I love that he decided to cover this track, too.
The original song was written by McCain and peaked at #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1998.
But, like I said before, if I didn’t know this track at all, I would probably think it was straight out of Randall’s catalog.
And hopefully, that catalog will be expanding in the near future, as he recently teased a new album coming very soon…
And I know y’all want to watch this now…
