Chris Stapleton Is FINALLY Releasing “You Should Probably Leave” As A Single

Been a LONG time coming.

A song from at LEAST 6 years ago (probably older than that), “You Should Probably Leave” quickly became a fan favorite among the Whiskey Riff readers.

In fact, we’ve written about it on at least 5 separate occasions, each time calling for it to be on an album. We missed it on Traveller, we missed it on From A Room: Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, but last year, it found a spot on Chris Stapleton’s Starting Over record.

And while just the recording would be good enough, Chris is gonna do you one better… it’s going to be his next single.

Written by Ashley Gorley, Chris DuBois and Chris himself, “You Should Probably Leave,” tells the story as old as time… bad decisions.

Here’s a little taste of the chorus:

“Cause I know you, And you know me
And we both know, Where this is gonna lead
And you want me to say, That I want you to stay
So you should probably leave
Yeah you should probably leave.”

Sound familiar?

Set to impact country radio on May 17th, “You Should Probably Leave” follows up the title track, “Starting Over,” as the second single from his critically-acclaimed 4th studio album.
