Kolby Cooper man…
The 21-year-old fast rising Texas Country star has released a number of great songs since he first left his mark with his 2018 hit EP, Vol. 1-EP. He’s flooded the Texas scene with songs like “It Ain’t Me,” “Fall,” “2 Words,” “Leave Me My Heart,” and “If I Still Had It.”
However, perhaps his catchiest and most well-written song comes from his most recent EP, Vol. 2, which he released back in August of last year:
In the song, he sings about how he pissed off his girl, and she left him and took everything he owns with her. The chorus takes you through everything that he needs to get on Craigslist, and closes it out with some of the best word play I’ve ever heard:
“All I need is one, night stand.”
I mean, is he talking about an actual night stand? An actual hookup? Both? The world may never know. So simple, but absolute genius.
And now, he’s officially released the music video to go along with the badass song. The video starts off with Kolby walking into his house, and realizing his girl has taken every. Single. Thing.
So what does he do next? He goes on a shopping spree with the boys from the band to the thrift shop, the mattress and furniture store, you name it.
So sit back, relax, drink a beer (or 12), and give it a watch. It’s only a matter of time before Kolby Cooper is a household name.
