Back in 2014 during his “The Cowboy Rides Away” tour, George Strait had fellow ’90s country legend Martina McBride on stage to do an incredible duet of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash’s hit “Jackson”.

The song was written by Billy Edd Wheeler and Jerry Leiber, and originally recorded by Wheeler in 1963. Of course, Johnny and June made the song extremely popular when they released their duet of it in 1967, including on their album Carryin’ On with Johnny Cash and June Carter.

Shockingly, the song never reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Singles chart, but rather peaked at the #2 position.

I don’t know about you, but I could watch George and Martina sing it all day long. The way he introduces her is precious, and it’s fun to see them play off each other singing such a classic song.

Also, can we talk about that crease in his jeans? Could get a paper cut just looking at ’em.
