Tyler Childers And Billy Strings Blow The Roof Off The Ryman Auditorium With The Charlie Daniels Hit, “Trudy”

Charlie Daniels was one of the most innovative country stars to ever walk on stage with his combination of southern rock, country, bluegrass, and soul.

And we can’t forget his INCREDIBLE storytelling.

I mean, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and “The Legend of Wooly Swamp?” C’mon now, those are some heaters. After his passing last year, he left a legacy that is unmatched, inspiring several country stars along the way.

Two of those country stars? None other than Tyler Childers and Billy Strings.

The two teamed up back in February of last year at The Ryman Auditorium to sing one of Daniels’ hit songs, and my personal favorite, “Trudy.”

I mean, can you think of a better one-two punch? The insane vocals and storytelling of Childers and the out of this world guitar abilities of Strings, paying tribute to an incredible singer, storyteller, and musician in his own right.

At the beginning of the video, Childers announces Strings in good ol’ TC fashion:

“I’m no Billy Strings. I’m like a ‘Tyler Sings’ kinda… I’ll tell ya who is Billy Strings… Billy Strings.”

And the two created an incredible rendition of the ’70s classic.

All I have to say is the fans who attended this concert are the luckiest people on the planet.
