Lainey Wilson “Country-fies” Ludacris’ “What’s Your Fantasy” And Holy Sh*t It’s Good

Ah the good ol’ days.

I was a little behind when it came to listening to country music, and I remember the days where my MP3 player was filled with bands and artists like Fall Out Boy, Nelly, Blink-182, Eminem, and some classic rock…

Okay, maybe I did have a little Rascal Flatts on the MP3, but that was back when I thought they were the original singers of “Life Is A Highway” (totally different story).

Yesterday, CMT released a bit from Lainey Wilson dubbed “Make It Country,” where she covers some Fall Out Boy, Ludacris, and Gavin DeGraw (que the One Tree Hill intro), and tries to give it her own “twangy” twist.

Lainey is one of the most interesting and fun-loving personalities in Nashville right now, and it’s pretty funny watching her try to “country-fy” these songs. But not only is it entertaining, it’s downright impressive.

She does “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down” by Fall Out Boy, DeGraw’s world famous anthem, “I Don’t Wanna Be,” and even “What’s Your Fantasy” by Luda.

I mean, who doesn’t remember being entirely too young to be listening to songs about being in the “back seat with the windows up” and wanting to “lick you from your head to your toes”?

But after hearing this, I’m convinced it could actually be made into a decent country song.
