The Virginia native performed a few tracks from her new project on CBS This Morning’s “Saturday Sessions,” including her current single “Wilder Days”, as well as “Last Cigarette” and “Don’t Cry.”
And of course, she absolutely killed it.
She’s come a long way since starting her band back in college through an ad on Craigslist years ago. At just 26 years old, she’s already been through a battle with alcohol and found sobriety. In an interview with Billboard, she said this about why she wants to make music in the first place:
“The main thing I want to convey with my music is authenticity and realness. Sharing my struggles through art, and hoping that I can help someone else along the way.”
Like we’ve said before, she’s a name to watch as she continues to gain more national attention and hopefully, more attention in the country community, too.
