Miranda Lambert Releases Stripped Down, Acoustic Version Of “Settling Down”

Miranda Lambert just keeps releasing raw, stripped back music and I can’t get enough.

Release today, she recorded an acoustic version of her current single, “Settling Down,” and it’s simply awesome. It seems like so often when an artist puts out “acoustic” versions of their music, it’s not really all that “stripped down,” but this one is the real deal.

On the heels of releasing a few other incredible songs from her forthcoming album The Marfa Tapes with Jon Randall and Jack Ingram, she decided to throw this one in the mix:

“Since we’re in the mode of releasing stripped back music for ‘The Marfa Tapes’…thought I might as well share an acoustic version of this song too.”

The song is on her most recent album, Wildcard, and was written by Miranda, Natalie Hemby and Luke Dick, the same trio that wrote “Bluebird” and “Mess With My Head.”

Enjoy.
