Luck Presents, the group of folks based out of Willie Nelson’s Luck, TX, responsible for holding Willie’s annual Luck Reunion, is asking for your help.
Team Luck is trying to collect signature to petition the Biden Administration to allow the “High Holidays” to be celebrated nationally. If you’ve ever wished to celebrate the recreational use of marijuana for more than 24 hrs on 4/20, here’s your opportunity.
“Luck’s iteration of the High Holidays begins on 4/20, of course, and ends with a celebration of Willie Nelson’s birthday, which falls on 4/29. This petition, while slightly in jest, aims to destigmatize Cannabis usage and users, and to broaden the dialogue with Congress re: decriminalization and the many benefits of the Cannabis plant. “
The reason behind “High Holidays” is to honor Willie Nelson’s contribution to the Cannabis industry, while also celebrate the country music legend’s birthday. We’re talking about a week-long celebration of 4/20, culminating in a Willie Nelson birthday party.
Willie had a nice little message to the government himself:
“I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug. Marijuana is an herb and flower. God put it here. If He put it here and He wants it to grow, what gives the government the right to say God is wrong?”
