Throwback To Eric Church Closing Out His Record-Setting Nissan Stadium Show With Jackson Browne’s “The Load Out/Stay”

Damn, I miss live music.

And if I could see any country artist on the planet at a sold out show tomorrow, it would be Chief, no doubt. But it likely won’t be until the fall, at the very least. Eric has said himself he thinks fall is when he’ll be on tour again.

Fingers crossed…

If you miss seeing your favorite artist live as much as I do, you need to check out Eric Church’s medley cover of Jackson Browne’s “The Load Out” and “Stay.” He performed it to close out his record-breaking four hour show at Nissan stadium in Nashville in 2019.

Both songs are off of Browne’s 1977 album Running on Empty.

The crowd singing along, Joanna Cotten tearing it up on the background vocals… those were the days.

You have to watch it until the end to hear Eric hit the high note though… talk about a sight to behold.
