Animal Control Officer Buys Stuffed Unicorn For Stray Dog Who Kept Trying To Steal It From Dollar General

Something to cleanse your feed here this morning.

Duplin County Animal Services in North Carolina got a call recently about a furry burglar who kept trying to steal from the local Dollar General. But it seems this dog really only wanted one thing from the store: A purple stuffed unicorn.

Apparently the stray dog kept going for the same unicorn every time. Employees at the Dollar General say that every time a customer would exit, the pup would run back inside and head straight for the unicorn.

Gotta admire the determination.

When animal control officer Samantha Lane responded to the call, instead of just throwing the furry thief behind bars, she spent $10 of her own money to buy him the purple unicorn first.

Once back at the shelter, the daring dog was named Sisu and put up for adoption. And in a happy ending for Sisu, it looks like he’s already found a new home and family.

I guess when it comes to good boys like Sisu, sometimes crime does pay.
