Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila threw one helluva fundraiser last night for the great state of Texas. As of right now, “We’re Texas” has raised over a quarter million dollars (and counting) for people who were, and continue to be, affected by the awful winter storms from this past February. McConaughey pulled out all the stops, inviting legendary Texans like George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Chip & Joanna Gaines, Clint Black, Gary Clark Jr., Lyle Lovett, Post Malone and more.
And even Willie Nelson was on the bill, performing “Beautiful Texas” alongside his sister Bobbie Lee Nelson, who accompanied Willie on the piano.
“Beautiful Texas” was cut for Willie’s 1968 album Texas In My Soul.
