‘King Of The Hill’ Writer Says They’re In “Hot Negotiations” For A Reboot

Could King Of The Hill actually make a comeback?

It just might…

According to Tech Radar, writer Brent Forrester spilled the beans in a Reddit AMA thread recently, saying they’re in “hot negotiations” to bring the show back. A Redditor asked if the show was going to ever be revived, possibly set in the future with older characters:

“Have you heard any updates as to the possible King of the Hill revival? Aging the cast of characters would be a stroke of genius and practically reinvent the show (in an awesome way!).”

Brent responded:

“I am sure Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but… HELL YES.

They are in hot negotiations to bring back King of the Hill. The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again. The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay I’ve said too much.”

Back in March 2020, co-creator Greg Daniels said that Fox had previously rejected a reboot of the show, but also added that they were still interested in bringing it back.

“We do have a plan for it and it’s pretty funny… so maybe one day.”

Sounds like “one day” might be sooner than we think…

And I am HERE for it.

I mean, Boomhauer explaining the meaning of life… GOLD.
