What a classic. An absolute CLASSIC.
I recently came to the realization that dads brawling on the golf course might be some of the best content on the internet. You have a rich man’s sport like golf, complete with their pastel shorts and overpriced clubs, and then you combine that with drunk dads throwing hands like a couple of front yard hillbillies… it just makes for some outstanding comedy.
But today, we’re taking it back to a 2018 cornhole tournament in Georgia, which is once again making the viral rounds on the interwebs.
It was summer of 2018, the The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce was hosting its annual cornhole event to raise money for scholarships for unprivileged students, a noble cause.
The sun is shining, the dad-approved cell phone holsters are out in droves, it should be a great day of family friendly fun, but out of nowhere… all hell breaks loose. We got hands flying, shirts coming off, dad is losing his flip flops…. just all-out chaos in the best possible way.
And the best part, Nance gets on the microphone and goes full blown mom mode:
“Stop it right now… we will stop this tournament… this is stupid.”
Love it.
She pulls out the ol’ “we will turn this car around” line on a bunch a grown men, one of whom is completely shirtless, fist fighting at a charity cornhole tournament.
Priceless.
