I’m admittedly pretty new to bluegrass, but with the emergence of stars like Billy Strings, and then Sturgill Simpson’s phenomenal Cuttin’ Grass project, I’ve been diggin’ the hell out of it lately.
So don’t expect this playlist to be an all-encompassing overview of the genre, it’s more or less a playlist of modern bluegrass artists that I’ve been listening to lately.
Featuring the aforementioned, as well as artists like Balsam Range, Sierra Hull, Bella White, Steep Canyon Rangers, Wood & Wire, Trampled By Turtles, Mandolin Orange, Old Salt Union, Greensky Bluegrass and more, it’s a great introduction to the awesome world of bluegrass.
