The Rock Says He’d Run For President If “That’s What The People Wanted”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson… man of the people.

Professional wrestler, multi-million dollar actor, tequila mogul, and BIG country music guy… The Rock has somehow managed to capture the hearts of pretty much everybody, across the world. I mean, try and find me somebody that doesn’t like him. You can’t.

And in these chaotic political times, people have been asking… will a well-loved, level-headed guy like The Rock run for President? As it turns out he just might.

In a recent interview with USA Today, The Rock said that he would consider a Presidential run so long as the people actually wanted him to:

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted.

Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people…So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”

And he’s no stranger to politics.

On more than one occasion he’s said that he wouldn’t rule it out, and last summer, he made a call for more leadership in Washington. In a very “presidential” message, he pressed hard on the importance of leadership.

“Where is our leader at this time, at this time when our country is down on its knees begging, pleading, hurt, angry, frustrated, in pain? Begging and pleading with its arms out, just wanting to be heard.”

And with Matthew McConaughey saying that he’d consider a career in politics as well… how about a McConaughey/Johnson 2024 ticket?

I’d vote for that.
