Luke Combs Previews All Too Relatable New Song “Growin’ Up And Gettin’ Old”

Peep that new Daytona 500 guitar, eh?

Thanks to the weather, Luke has been stuck in Florida since his Daytona 500 performance this past weekend. If you missed it, he opened the race with full throttle performance of “Cold As You,” but today, he’s back with a preview of another brand new one.

Titled “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old,” the new tune was co-written alongside Channing Wilson and Rob Snyder.

“Haven’t been able to get home from Daytona yet because of the weather, so we’re just hanging out and I figured I’d share a new song I’ve been working on with Channing Wilson and Rob Snyder. It’s called “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old.” What do y’all think?”

And if you’re anything like me, it’s WAY too relatable. Just check out this first verse:

“I still hit them dive bars, every once in a blue moon
I got a wild card, I keep inside my boot
I’ve been thinking lately maybe I should save it
Because them hangovers sure kick my ass these days
I spend most my happy hours here at home
In the middle of growin’ up and gettin’ old.”

I mean, if that ain’t my life at 32 in a nutshell right now, I don’t know what is. That line about hangovers? Hell, they last half a week these days.

Seriously though, has Luke ever written a bad song? If he has, I sure as hell haven’t heard it.

Get this one in the studio Luke, get it in there ASAP.
