Whiskey Myers Frontman Cody Cannon Debuts New Song “Heart Of Stone”

Khris Poage

Lots of good stuff happening in the Whiskey Myers world these days.

We all know that they’re in the studio right now, hopefully working on their next full length album, they recently previewed a fiery new tune called, “The Wolf,” and they also just notched Gold certifications for “Ballad of a Southern Man” (off their 2011 album Firewater), and “Stone” (off of their 2016 album Mud).

Like I said… LOTS of good stuff.

And today, we’re back with another acoustic preview of another brand new tune titled, “Heart Of Stone,” (we all know how songs with “stone” in the title go for them).

At an acoustic show at the Lava Cantina in The Colony, Texas, back in November, a solo Cody Cannon debuted the newly-written song, right as someone yelled “Free Bird.”

“Nah, it ain’t Free Bird… I wrote this song about a month ago…”
