Nothing like the good ol’ days, eh?

Recently retired NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer “called out” the manliness of today’s drivers, commenting on a throwback posted shared by Rick Mast.

The throwback photo from the annual Rick Mast Golf Classic, featured former drivers Rick Mast, Ken Schrader, Bobby Labonte, Stacy Compton, and Hut Strickland.

“Back when drivers looked like men. No meal plans, no trainers, no masseuse, no physical therapists, no hyperbaric chambers, no sports psychiatrist, and certainly no golf simulators… just flat got the job done. Boy, we sure haven’t done very well with our generation.”

“Hot dogs, honey buns, Skoal and Bud.”

And Clint’s comment wasn’t necessarily a knock on the remaining drivers (since Bowyer retired at the end of last season), Bowyer lumped himself in with the new generation as well.

The new season kicks off in about 2 weeks and Clint will be joining the Fox crew in the booth.
