Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade Reflects On Dogsh*t 2020 With New “Last Year’s Lemons” Super Bowl Ad

When life gives you lemons…

Last year, life gave us A TON of lemons. Enough to fill a Super Bowl stadium a thousand times over. And with Budweiser hanging it up for the Super Bowl this year (for the first time in 37 years), Bud Light is stepping in with a new Seltzer Lemonade Super Bowl ad to remind us all just how bad 2020 really was.

“We wanted to give consumers something to start the New Year off right by bringing them the bold flavor of our new Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade,” said Andy Goeler, Vice President of Marketing, Bud Light. “The Super Bowl always brings together avid and casual sports fans alike, and our hope is that our new commercial brings them a little bit of levity and fun while watching the game.”

Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade launched earlier this month, featuring four flavors: Original Lemonade, Black Cherry Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade and Peach Lemonade. Made with cane sugar, natural fruit flavors, each can clocks in at 100 calories with less than 1 gram of sugar and 5% ABV.

And between the storming of the Capitol, COVID still going strong, the ongoing political turmoil, and now this whole Wall Street debacle, 2021 is gearing up to be another dogshit year as well.

But hey, at least we have alcohol, right?

When life gives you lemons…

Just say “fuck the lemons” and bail.
