You’re gonna have to do better than that…
According to Hampshire Live, police arrived to a house party after numerous complaints from neighbors. When they questioned the hosts of the party, they claimed that they hadn’t heard of the global pandemic that has been consuming the entire globe for the better part of the past year.
“The occupants were spoken to and claimed to be unaware of the global pandemic, as they never watch the news.”
I’ve done my best to weasel my way out of a few run-ins with the police, especially when it came to hosting house parties back in college, but I’ve never tried an excuse anywhere near as asinine as this one.
I mean, how do you look a police officer in the eyes, and with a straight face go: “Pandemic? What global pandemic? This is news to me.”
No word on whether or not that excuse worked, but it appears as though the party was broken up and nobody was fined, at least yet. The party is still under investigation.
