Confirmed: Calvin Kattar is a dude.

Kattar embodies the culture of Boston. He’s a tough, hard-nosed fighter who took the long route to the UFC and continues to take the hard route to the top, not turning down risky challenges on his way to a Number Six ranking in the Featherweight division and a match up with former champion and current Number One contender Max Holloway next on the schedule. It’ll be his 3rd Main Event since joining the UFC in 2017.

He’s also a big fan of one of country music’s best, Zach Bryan.

Calvin posted a picture of his knockout of Jeremy Stevens, captioning it perfectly with some lines from one of Zach’s biggest hits, “Heading South”.

“He surely came to learn people come to watch you fall.
But he’s out to make a name and a fool out of ‘em all.”

The perfect lines for a career defining moment. I always liked this guy, but he’s for sure got my support from here on out.

Holloway vs Kattar is the first UFC event to be broadcast on Network TV in quite a while (January 16th), so this is a huge opportunity to make a statement and prove he deserves a shot at the title.

Get some Calvin… leave him with “one eye and crooked teeth.” Speaking of that, “Cooked Teeth” would be a hell of a walk out song. If he comes out to that, you heard it here first.
