Reign Of Fire anybody?
If you remember the 2002 film starring Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale, and Gerard Butler, it takes place in dystopian England where dragons rule the sky. Mankind is on the brink of extinction but a militaristic group a dragon slayers (led by McConaughey) show up to try and save humanity.
It’s a pretty badass, and definitely one of McConaughey and Bale’s more underrated flicks. Oh, and it takes place in the year 2020…
I mean, we haven’t awakened any dragons (yet) but it sometimes feels like we’ve been on the brink of societal collapse.
Here’s to 2021…
