Parker McCollum Scores First #1: “No Beer Songs or Dirt Roads or Trucks or Nothin. Just Honest Songwriting.”

The first of many for Parker McCollum.

“Pretty Heart” tops the charts this week, his first number one at country radio after signing his record deal with Universal in the summer of 2019.

“To have this song really and truly succeed on big time radio is a dream come true. And for it to happen during such an insanely crazy year makes it just that much more special.”

Luckily for country music fans, Parker isn’t coming at you with the same cookie cutter bullshit you’ve heard on mainstream radio the last many years. This guy is bringing real deal country music from the great state of Texas, but built for the country fans all over the country desperately wanting more substance than what is typically played on radio.

He summed it up with a tweet, celebrating the accomplishment.

“We did it y’all! Just a kid from Conroe, TX who dreamed about playing country music now has the #1 song in the country this week!”

“No beer songs or dirt roads or trucks or nothin. Just honest songwriting.”

“We did it our way! Best fans in the world made it happen! THANK YOU!”

Like I said, there will be plenty more of these…
