Folks, if you’re looking for some West Texas cowboy music, let me introduce you to Mason & The Gin Line.
The Lubbock based band is led by Mason David Server, and their “West Texas country and rock & roll” style is phenomenal.
The group released an EP on December 4, titled Caprock Composition, but one song really sticks out to me: “Pipeliner”
“Pipeliner” is about a West Texas Pipeliner who marries a woman, who eventually leaves him for a rich man. The storytelling is so good in this song that you can almost picture it in your head when you listen to it.
Mason & The Gin Line gives you a sound that is very unique, while also giving you that “red dirt” feel similar to Texas Country greats Jason Abbott, Charlie Robison, and Jason Boland.
